On 26 February 2026, the Tambo Translation Office conducted a Scripture Engagement activity in the Tambo community. The event provided formal and social platforms that fostered unity, mutual support, and self-motivation among community members.
The activity was warmly received. Community members attended in significant numbers and listened enthusiastically to the Word of God presented by Proclaimers. Participants gave positive feedback and shared testimonies indicating notable personal and communal transformation. The engagement strengthened faith and inspired many to draw closer to Christ.
A notable testimony was shared by Ms. Roster Nakamba, who had previously lost hope in her Christian faith and had engaged in harmful behaviors such as drunkenness, immorality, and abusive language. Through consistent participation in Scripture Engagement sessions, she responded to the calling and joined a group of readers. Regularly listening to Scripture—especially readings from Acts, Romans, and Corinthians—began to transform her life.
The Scriptures affirm this transformation:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” (Colossians 3:23)
“The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.” (John 6:63)
Today, Ms. Nakamba stands as a living testimony of transformation and as a source of encouragement within the community.
Challenges
-Shortage of Proclaimers as the number of listeners continues to grow
-Insufficient orientation for new participants
-Limited guidance and follow-up visitation
Response and Next Steps
To address these challenges, the Tambo team has scheduled a follow-up visit for 26 March 2026. The visit aims to strengthen unity and cooperation between BiLTA and community members who have embraced access to the Word of God, and to provide continued support and guidance.
Acknowledgment
The Tambo Translation Office extends sincere appreciation to BiLTA management for their commitment, care, and dedication in making the Word of God accessible in the local language. This effort continues to bring lasting impact and spiritual growth within the community.
